We’ve had a very festive Christmas here in Morzine and New Year is just a few days away. We’ve had plenty of snow on the mountain, Morzine is twinkling brightly and we’re feeling positive for the coming year.
Although the lifts haven’t quite opened yet, we’re still managing to make the most of the fresh snow and enjoy some of our other favourite mountain activities such as; ski touring, snowshoeing and of course sledging!
It was announced by the French government that ski resorts will reopen lifts on 7th January if the new coronavirus situation allows and cases are below 5,000 per day. It was also said that restaurants are still on track to open on 20th January.
The mountain team has been working hard to keep on top of the snow and making sure the slopes are ready for when the lifts can reopen. We’re crossing our fingers that things continue to improve and we can safely enjoy piste skiing again very soon.
Although this date isn’t official, we’re feeling positive and we will keep you posted once we’ve had confirmation! We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Morzine-Les Gets very soon.
